Built around 1900
architecture
The classic ensemble of two connected houses, built around 1900, was extensively renovated between 2015 and 2017 in order to combine extensive preservation of the substance with use-oriented modernization and sustainability. This includes the thermal renovation of the outer shell and the roof structure to reduce energy consumption. The house was optimized structurally, climatically and acoustically for the highest level of living comfort.

eclectic design
Interior design
The designer Sibylle von Heyden was inspired by the "Bel Etage", the upper-class salon culture of the Wilhelminian era. The eclectic design attempts to bring history back to life - striking, colorful, communicative - with coordinated materials and fabrics as well as old and new shapes. The furniture and lights were specially designed for this purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.

NATURE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY
Garden
In front of the house, surrounded by yew hedges, ground cover and hydrangeas, stands our beautiful, old copper beech tree in the middle of small paths paved with natural stones. Behind the house, our green, quiet oasis welcomes every guest. Take a seat on the small terrace or the well-kept lawn and relax on comfortable garden furniture in the middle of the city.

Directly on the Alster
Uhlenhorst
Our house is located in one of the most popular and beautiful districts of Hamburg, with picturesque old buildings, lots of greenery, and everything crossed by canals. The Alster is just a 2-minute walk away. Lively Winterhude is nearby, as are Eppendorf and Harvestehude. By bus or car, you can reach the center or the train station in just 10 minutes, and the harbor in just 12 minutes. You can drive practically directly to the airport in 20 minutes.
